Eivissa

Ibiza (or Eivissa), the capital of the island, greets visitors with the iconic image of the Dalt Vila (upper town), the historic, walled area of the city. A labyrinth of winding, white streets scattered with boutiques, charming restaurants, art galleries, flowers and monuments; it is one of the most beautiful, lively and interesting places on the island. This serene, cultural side of Ibiza coexists perfectly with its fine sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and its much sassier side, which is revealed when night falls and some of the most famous clubs in the world come to life.

Archaeological Museum of Ibiza and Formentera

Through the valuable objects in its collection, the museum offers a journey into the history of these two islands, from prehistory through to the Christian re-conquest. It is situated in Dalt Vila, in Eivissa's area of monuments, and occupies several different buildings.

Ibiza Castle

The Almudaina is a fortified site that held the military and administrative installations of the Moslem 'Wali'. It has an elongated plan and there are nine square towers on the premises.

Cala de Portinatx

Portinatx is located in the northern part of the island, in the municipality of Sant Joan de Labritja. The shores of the municipality are dominated by cliffs, and the interior exhibits a relief formed by mountains of considerable height.

Markets in Ibiza

Ibiza is famous for the spirit and authentic atmosphere of its hippie street markets. But they aren’t the only markets on the island. There are very popular ones selling artisanal goods, organic food, and second-hand items, as well as the usual street markets held in many towns.
