This city, also known as Donostia, lies along a white sandy bay between the Urgull and Igeldo hills. Fishermen's houses, a smart suburb and modern districts make it one of the most attractive cities on the Cantabrian coast. The Museum of San Telmo, the Peine del Viento (the Wind Comb) and the Kursaal are examples of how the city brings together modern and traditional features. “Peine del Viento”

This is one of the best-known works by the sculptor Eduardo Chillida. The sculpture, known as the “Peine del Viento” or “Wind Comb”, is formed by pinkish granite terraces and three pieces of steel anchored to the rocks.

San Telmo Municipal Museum

A multi-disciplinary centre set in an old 16th century convent. The museum is divided into three sections (Fine Art, History and Archaeology), containing highly heterogeneous collection that shows the evolution of social life in the Basque Country over the ages.

La Concha Beach

This town beach is situated right in the city centre, between the fishing harbour of San Sebastián and Pico del Loro. It is one of the most famous, photographed and elegant beaches in the Basque Country.

Miramar Royal Palace

The palace was designed by the English architect Selden Wornun, in 1888, but was completed by Benito Olasagasti, under the supervision of the architect José Goicoa.
